Hey guys, I know it has been a long time since I have updated the blog, but fret not we are INDEED still alive! and we are currently planning the events which will occur at NCFC this year.

Small update!

Hey everybody!
It's been a slow month. Starting classes again has slown down development, but worry not there is still progress being done.
I have just finished making a small cut-scene and created a couple of maps to with it.

Also thanks to Fox, we might be getting a new Spriter on the team. As soon as she completes her first assignment I'll add her to the list! XD

Hey everyone, Happy Holidays!
here are some updates.

-Winter break is here and development has been kicked into high gear!
Hopefully by then end of winter break alot of progress would have been done!

-I have scheduled two chat events. One for the team on the 29th and another for the fans on the 30th. They will both take place at 1pm Eastern Time. I hope to see some of you there.

-We have a new wall tile style being implemented into the game bit by bit.
I will reveal this new style soon.

Hello everyone!
It's been a long while since I last updated but boy do we have something for you!

For those of you curious about the title of this post, "NCFC"; The NCFC is a online community event where everything related to Nintendo including fan-games and such come together and put them up as Online Booths for everyone to see!
And of course we are apart of it! We have set up our own booth and have updated the Forum with new screen shots and a New title screen!

Sorry about the delay people.
It's been a while since I posted last but alot of has happened!

-We were finally able to have a successful team meeting where alot was clarified and discussed.
Although not everyone was able to attend I am still content with what happened.

-I have implemented the whole game with the clutter tree tiles and fixed all of the maps to make them look more attractive.

-Mxxai is finally back and with a vengeance!
Where was he? well he will not say...

-I have started working on tiles for a sip area that will be occur soon after Harmony Shores. But that all I will talk about that for now. Can't spoil you guys too much!

-Also I have been experimenting with the color scheme of the sprites.
I have been deliberating whether to switch from tradition to real world colors.

Gaming Update!

Hey everyone!
How do you like our new template? Pretty EXCELLENT! don't you all think?

Anyways here is your update:
-Development of Harmony Shores is about 90% complete, just gotta finish up a cutscene or two and it's done!

-A lone Scripter by the name of Modern Algebra has fixed a special script which will be used in the battle system for Ralph. I'll inform you all on the a bit more later on!

-Also the clutter tree tiles are starting to be applied to current maps and MAJOR changes will be done to the beginning half of the game to make it more player friendly and attractive!

-Bad news in our scripting department, Our scripter was forced to quit due to personal life and academic life reasons so we are on the look for another one.
If anyone would like that position just contact us here or on the forum.

-Talking about looking for people, Yami Mono will temporary be out of commission for most of the summer. If anyone would like to briefly take her place as Battle Spriter contact us here or on the forum!

-One last thing, we have come up with alot of costume enemies for EarthBound 3, they have been posted on the forum. Check 'em out and tell us what you think!

Well that's about it for now, later I will post a couple of screen shots for you guys and maybe even a couple of those costume enemies I talked about earlier.

Summer Break!

Summer is upon us and I am now free for the next few months!
Which means that I am also free to develop the game more. Hopefully by the end of my/our summer break we'll be atleast close to the half way point. A long feat, but let's see how it all goes!

Also one concerned fan by the name of AbnormalHairGrowth has agreed to join our team as an Environmental Tile Spriter or "Tiler".
While MXXai is learning how to do the same but with buildings, and some environment as well.
Let's hope this duo pulls through, I have high hopes for them for sure!

GAMING UPDATE!

Okay guys it's been a while, but alot has happened!

-The New Caterpillar script work 99% perfect, just a tweak or two will make it work.

-Fox has found us a guy who is currently working on a List of 5 Core scripts the we REALLY need and another list of 5 scripts that we want for the game.
These scripts include:
Pixel Movement, gradual decrease and increase of health, Better battle message window and battle animations when you miss or you evade an attack.

- Still on Fox, he also got someone to do some concept art for the Governing Star general.

-Upon one of my script requests has been to rename a skill. And thank goodness a kind scripter created one for us. Which means now you can rename the PSI Special that Son uses upon starting a new game!

and a couple of tiles as well. I see great power within this one LOL!

Another Update!

Okay again sorry for the long periods of time between our Updates, College does that to you!

Gaming Update!

Great new everyone!
We now have 3 new scripts that gives the game the ability to make the Characters walk and run in diagonal formations!
That's right! From now on the game will offer diagonal movement during game play!
Screen shots will come soon enough, we just need to fix up all the sprites we need for it!

And it's all thanks to our buddy *Modern Algebra* who pointed me in the right direction!

This is just one step closer to getting that complete EarthBound feeling we have been going for!

Musical Update!

But we finally have some worth while stuff to post up so here ya go!

Our Composer HuskyInDenial has brought to us some fantastic new compositions that will be used in the game.
They sound great and we can't wait to see what he dishes out next!

Okay just a small Update here.
Thanks to one of our spriters MXXai the sprites of the main characters have had a small make over and now they look better than ever!
Their new sprites have been added in the BIOS section on the forum as animated GIF files.

Also our Music developer has come up with another hit. We would post it up, but it isn't finished yet so we will wait until then!

On another note, development is a little slow but it has continued. The plot on the next area is almost complete and we are just waiting on a few sprites to complete it.

I have messed with the Logo and have come up with a great new looking one!
I will make a new Banner and replace the old one soon so keep an eye out for that!

It's been a while...

Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates. College is hitting me hard and I don't have alot of time on my hands to do much.
But the game has been going great!
A truck load of NPC's have been added and cutscenes as well.
We have corrected virtually all of the text in the game and some new scripts have been added too, to give the game a More EarthBound-ish Feel!

We also have a new composer thanks to Fox! His name is HuskyInDenial and he is outstanding!!!
He just gave us a small sample of his music talent and I have to say we are happy with it!

Stay tuned people because the 2nd Demo is right around the corner and is coming with a BANG!

Hey guys long time no speak. Here is your update!:

GAMING UPDATE!:

-The new and improoved maps have been added. We will be working on several other smaller maps for you gaming amusement.

-NPC’s will also be added, but be aware we might be forced to reuse some since we don’t have enough custom made ones from our spriter which I have had no luck in contacting. (Maybe he is on vacation or something…)

- Some extra stuff has also been added that will make the functionality of this game seem more EarthBound like!

- Creation of the final cutscene of the new demo and the last boss of the demo will begin shortly after the smaller maps are created.

On another note we have another spriter helping us on the game!
Everyone welcome Yami Mono.
Thanks to her we now have a good Boss sprite for the new demo.

Also our good friend Fox4729 is trying to find a composer for the game. lets hope we get lucky!

GAMING UPDATE!

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while...
here a little update!

The games progress is at a slow but steady pace. we are up to another cutscene and Boss right now which is good.
More PSI animations were created and a new script has allowed us to create the Franklin Badge effect needed for the game.
As well as a very special effect needed for Ralph's invention.
Also here is a screen shot at one of our custom enemies with a better version of our current battle system!

We have found a ton of new scripts like the Revive script and the enemy scan script!
we have also created many new cut scenes and events and of course new and improved sprites!

Gaming Update and mounthly round up!

Okay guys, sorry again for the long delay of updates... College realy takes it out of me!
any ways here is what has happened in the last few weeks. Alot of break throughs like a EartBound like battle transition has now been implemented into the game! also now when eer you battle random enemy or boss they will have a trippy background to go along with them.

We are however considering to hold a raffle to those who also wish to try out the next demo. Who ever wishes to be in the raffle log on to Starmen.net and head over to the forums and post in the topic in the fangames section named EarthBound 3 VX telling use that you want to be apart of the demo testers!
3 lucky winners will get a copy of the demo and specific instructions will be givin out to those who will participate in the demo!

GAMING UPDATE!

Okay people sorry again for the long delay of posts, but hey that's what happens when college gets in the way of everything. But not to worry the game is still moving forward as usual. Chapter 2 is 98% complete. And skills and stats have been set for every character!
Our lead spriter CrimsonGallantmon (aka CG) has been working his butt off to create quality EarthBound styled sprites and is almost done creating some soilder sprites neede for the games story.
On another note thanks to master spriter Woranata from RPG revolution, we now have a Caterpillar script that is compatible with just about everything, so no need to worry about following partymembers messing up anymore!
Also a new RPGMaker XP battle system script is now in use to make the game feel more like EarthBound.
Also our composer Tidal is still trying his best to create great music for the game, but in the mean while our own ZeroHeights has created a theme using Mario paint, for the game!

It's been a while...

Well i know this is a bit late but what the heck!
Happy New Years everyone!

I have great news! Work on the EarthBound game continue and it's becoming better and better everyday!
thanks to a friend of mine, i found a whole library of useful scripts! Like the 8way directional script with actual sprite support. And i have a good running script that changes the characters sprite to a running sprite while running! Same thing with climbing and when you enter a hot springs too.
I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what crazy thing we come across next!

Also in case i haven't pointed this out already. The new staff members have been added to the site. Check it out of you like.!

GAMING UPDATE!!!

Okay guys it's been a while since i posted, so here are some updates:

Work on EarthBound 3 has continued and if i do say so my self the game and story are both coming out great!
The story line has been finalized and is also being implemented to the game. Also more sprites have been created and custom enemy sprites as well. We are currently figuring out when a demo release will be made. We'll let everyone know more about it later.

Also we have recruited some new members to our team! They will be posted soon so look for 'em!

Version 1.3 of TDZ Digimon RPG is finally complete. The new version will be released by the end of the week. This will be our finall version of the game. Also i am sorry to say that any current players of the game will have to start from the beggining if he or she downloads the newer version. But I have something that might compensate for that.
The newer version will be the entire game with all errors and glitches finally fixed in total. Hopefully no one will find any more glitches and i could finally put the game to rest and continue with EB3.

Hey guys, just posting here, letting you guy know that a new bug has been found on TDZ Digimon RPG. The new fixed version of the game called version 1.3 will be released soon with other minor fixes as well. Sorry for the screw up people, these things are hard to catch.
Also we are continuing our work with our new Tech Demo, again we are not ready to say what we are working on yet.

Finally here people!, Heights Entertainment finally has its own blog site. From now on if anyone wants to view any thing from new versions of our existing games to new game projects just check us out here, and we'll take care of you.
Right now our latest completed game is TDZ Digimon RPG. We are undecided on our second game though. We are currently working on a tech demo of what might be our next project. but we will reveal info on that later on.
